Kenya Tea Development Agency Limited was incorporated on 15th June 2000 as a private company under (CAP 486) of the laws of Kenya, becoming one of the largest private tea management agencies. The Agency currently manages 67 factories in the small-scale tea sub-sector in Kenya.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to Head of ICT  Business Systems the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing relevant software systems for operational efficiency.Qualifications/Skills/ExperienceBachelor of Science, ICT, or related fields;Proven programming skills in relevant areas e.g. Strong programming skills in Delphi Pascal, C#, Python, PHP, ASP.NET, HTML/CSS/JAVASCRIPT.Should be able to design and develop databases and code using SQL language. Proven Knowledge of databases platforms like MS-SQL, MySQL, etc..Minimum four (4) years in a dynamic business entityMust demonstrate high integrity and ethical practiceMust demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision.Must be a team player who is able to work cordially in teamsMust demonstrate ability to multitask.Must demonstrate commitment to operational effectivenessShould have ability to solve problems by applying relevant business knowledgeMust have the ability to communicate for both written and oral communicationMust be able to work under pressureMust be a flexible person, who is willing to learn and able to work flexible hours to achieve goals

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop and implement software for KTDA business, factories and subsidiaries;Planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units;Preparing technical analysis documentation;Writing software, processes and documentation of operating manuals;Analyzing business software needs as per user requests;Liaising with System Testers to modify systems and ensure that that they operate reliably;Ensuring adequate training for users and support personnel for systems;Researching and examining current systems and consulting users on areas of concern or improvement;Ensuring continuous process improvement of services through efficient workingEnsuring efficient execution of work processes as assigned;Submitting accurate, timely and relevant reporting;Ensuring effective communication and maintenance of work relationships
