Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Providing academic leadership and overall oversight of teaching and learning across the school.
• Supervising teachers and Heads of Department to ensure curriculum standards and school objectives are consistently met.
• Monitoring student progress, assessment quality, and academic performance across all year groups.
• Reviewing, approving, and ensuring the quality of all examinations and assessments.
• Teaching Mathematics and Science at higher levels when required.
• Ensuring student character development in line with Islamic principles and school values.
• Planning and overseeing academic support programmes, including interventions, tuition, remedial classes, and holiday programmes.
• Enforcing discipline, attendance, punctuality, and compliance with school policies.
• Leading teacher mentoring, performance evaluations, and professional development programmes.
• Preparing academic reports and presenting student performance data to school management and the board.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Must have a TSC Number.
• Strong subject experience in Mathematics and Science is essential.
• Advanced knowledge and proven experience in the Pearson Edexcel curriculum for both O-Level and A-Level is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience, with demonstrated leadership or academic management experience.
• Proven ability to lead curriculum implementation, assessment design, and examination preparation for Edexcel programmes.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of academic standards, assessment frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
• Commitment to high professional standards and student achievement.
