Accountant (Multi-Industry Experience) We are a growing accounting firm providing accounting, advisory, and compliance services to clients across multiple industries, including Construction, Real Estate, Education, and other sectors. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team.

Job descriptions & requirements


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end accounting functions, including but not limited to:

  • Classification and accurate posting of financial transactions

  • Preparation of invoices and receipting of customer payments

  • Matching supplier invoices to LPOs and processing accounts payable

  • Processing and monitoring accounts receivable

  • Performing account reconciliations, including:

    • Bank reconciliations

    • Credit card reconciliations

    • General Ledger (GL) reconciliations

  • Preparation and posting of Journal Entries (JEs) after obtaining proper approvals

  • Generation of financial reports, including:

    • Profit & Loss Statements

    • Balance Sheets

    • Cash Flow Statements

  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes

  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and firm procedures

  • Liaising with clients to resolve accounting queries and provide support

Industry Experience Required

  • Construction sector

  • Real Estate sector

  • Education sector

  • Exposure to other industries is an added advantage

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting or Finance (strictly required)

  • CPA qualification completed or CPA studies in progress

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in an accounting firm)

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

Systems & Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as:

    • QuickBooks

    • Xero

    • Zoho

    • Or other recognized accounting systems

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools

Key Competencies

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a team
