Job summary

The Accountant – CA will oversee financial management, reporting, budgeting, project cost control, taxation, audits, and financial compliance for the business. The role will provide strategic financial insight to management while coordinating financial reporting and consolidation with the wider Zubaida Group.

Qualifications & Requirements


  • Chartered Accountant (CA) certification such as ICAEW, ICAI, SAICA, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive post-qualification experience, preferably within construction or a complex business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, financial reporting, consolidation, and intercompany accounting.
  • Proven experience managing complete financial cycles for multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • High level of professional ethics, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Experience in financial risk management and process improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end financial reporting and ensure compliance with IFRS.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior management on project and business performance.
  • Oversee internal and external audit processes.
  • Manage complex intercompany transactions and financial consolidations.
  • Develop and implement project cost-control systems and financial forecasting models.
  • Review and approve project budgets, financial reports, and forecasts.
  • Monitor project financial performance and identify financial risks.
  • Advise management on corporate tax strategies and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial and statutory requirements.
  • Safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of financial information.
  • Present financial performance and analysis to international stakeholders.
  • Coordinate financial reporting with Zubaida Group's head office.
