The Centre has an education centre and lodge. We are situated along Moi South Lake and adjacent to Lake Naivasha. This lodge serves as a prominent tourist destination, attracting visitors both locally and internationally.


Accountancy Vacancy

Elsamere is seeking to recruit an accountant to join its dedicated staff and help advance its mission. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, experienced accounting professional with a passion for numbers.


Position Summary

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction in finance and accounting. This role includes managing accounting processes, compliance, payroll, and financial reporting, while also supporting operations.

The accountant will ensure accurate financial management and adherence to statutory obligations. Additionally, the position involves maintaining Elsamere’s financial health, driving profitability, and maximizing value through strategic planning, investment decisions, and capital management.


Key Responsibilities

·       Maintain accurate books of accounting.

·       Manage budgeting and oversee budget administration.

·       Conduct financial analysis and reporting.

·       Oversee risk management activities.

·       Ensure legal and statutory compliance.

·       Coordinate audits and liaise with regulatory authorities.

 

Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related fields.

·       CPA(K) certification.

·       At least 5 years of relevant experience.

·       Knowledge of Kenyan tax and statutory requirements.

·       Strong Excel and accounting system skills.

·       ICPAK membership is an added advantage.

·       Alignment with conservation and sustainability values.
