Accountant

Key Responsibilities

⚫ Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

⚫ Reconcile bank statements and monitor discrepancies.

⚫ Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.

⚫ Process and manage invoices, expense reports, and payments.

⚫ Verify and reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.

⚫ Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve billing discrepancies.

⚫ Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns and other compliance reports.

⚫ Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

⚫ Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.

⚫ Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

⚫ Monitor actual expenses against budgets and report variances.

⚫ Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.

⚫ Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights.

Qualifications.

⚫ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with relevant certifications such as CPA or ACCA.

⚫ Holding an Advanced Accountant Certificate (Section 6).

⚫ 2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.

⚫ Experience in fixed asset management.

⚫ Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally), including voucher entry.

⚫ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including various calculation functions.

⚫ Strong numerical and analytical skills.

⚫ Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

⚫ Effective communication and strong organizational skills.
