Accountant – Kisumu, Kenya (78064)

We are looking to appoint an experienced Accountant to assist in ensuring appropriate financial controls and systems are in place and for managing project budgets for grants and contracts that run through LSTM Kenya, Kisumu office, based in Kenya.It is essential that you already possess a professional accounting qualification such as: CPA (K), ACCA or ACA coupled with extensive experience and can demonstrate proven experience in a professional accountancy-based role in a multi-national, or non-governmental organisation. You will also need to be able to evidence experience of having managed a payroll function, prepared month-end accounts coupled with extensive experience of producing year-end financial statements. Experience of operating computerised accounting systems and internal control systems and procedure will also be essential. We require you to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop internal and external working relationships (nationally and internationally) as you will be communicating with a variety of different people on finance related matters.
