Shanzu Beachfront Apartments is a luxury beachfront hospitality property offering 9 premium serviced apartments. We are seeking a competent, trustworthy, and detail-driven Accountant to manage full-spectrum accounting, tax compliance, reconciliations, salary administration, and financial reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for management.
• Handle full KRA compliance, including: VAT, ETIMS invoices, PAYE, Withholding Tax, and annual returns.
• Reconcile all ledgers, bank accounts, MPESA, cashbooks, and supplier accounts.
• Oversee payroll, salary disbursement, employee advance payments, deductions, and leave tracking.
• Manage petty cash and ensure proper expense control and documentation.
• Process supplier payments and maintain clear payment schedules.
• Maintain proper filing, documentation, and audit readiness.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-management initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in hospitality or real estate.
• Strong proficiency in KRA iTax, VAT, ETIMS, PAYE, and statutory returns.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, or similar.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and produce accurate reports.
