Job summary
They are seeking a hands-on Accountant to establish and manage the company’s finance function from scratch. The Accountant will set up and run the finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role is critical for supporting strategic decision-making, growth initiatives and support functions

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and manage the company’s finance and accounting systems, processes, and policies.
- Maintain accurate general ledger and sub-ledger records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for business decisions.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required.
Required Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPAK qualification preferred.
- 3–5 years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably with exposure to the construction industry.
- Experience in setting up finance functions or improving financial processes is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software, QuickBooks Or have experience implementing an accounting system.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and reporting abilities.
