ACCOUNTING OFFICER II-BRANCH ACCOUNTING

We are looking for a self-driven and passionate individual to step into the role of Accounting Officer II - Branch Accounting
THE ROLE
This position is primarily responsible for managing the branch accounting function in the finance department and providing support to various functions within the finance department as may be required.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
a) Posting of receipts from customers
b) Querying and resolving any discrepancies in daily sales report with branches
c) Carry out reconciliations of the incoming receipt collection accounts
d) Posting of petty cash entries, ensuring data is captured with accuracy and supporting expenditure documents comply with company policy
e) Perform cash holding verifications periodically
f) Assist in fixed asset verification and resolving any discrepancies
g) Assist in preparing outgoing payments
h) Assist in budget preparation
i) Liaise with various relevant departments to resolve queries and general communication.
j) Be involved in external and internal audits and assist where applicable to close out open items in a timely manner.
k) Assist in document management and archiving both physical and soft documents/records
l) Assist in any other duties as may be specified from time to time falling within the scope of the finance team as a whole

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
a) A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
b) ACCA / CPA or an equivalent qualification
c) Minimum of 2- 3 years’ relevant experience
d) Strong reconciliation and controls review skills
e) Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
f) Working knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA will be an added advantage
