Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC) Following the enactment of the Energy Act , Rural Electrification Authority (REA) has now changed to Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC). REREC has an expanded mandate of spearheading Kenya’s green energy drive, in addition to implementing rural electrification projects.

Job Specifications 

Receiving payment requests from suppliers and customers and posting in incoming registers; Receiving cash and cheques from customers; Availing information to customers when necessary; Receiving and issuing of receipts for all payments received from customers; Writing cheques, preparing Bank transfer instructions, undertaking bank deposits and withdrawal of cash from the bank; Preparing EFT and RTGS files and uploading in the bank system; Posting approved payment vouchers, petty cash vouchers and imprests; Preparing reports on cash balances; Making petty cash payments and reimbursements after receipt of approvals; Providing safe custody of records and assets under him/her; Preparing and filling records on payments/cash receipts; and Assisting in digitizing Corporation’s approved, paid and posted accounting documents.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

Passed Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA)/ACCA Part II Examination; and A minimum KCSE C- (minus) or its equivalent.

OR

Diploma in Finance/Accounts or its equivalent from a recognized insitution; A minimum KCSE C- (minus) or its equivalent. Proficiency in computer applications; and Fulfilled the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
