Purpose
As an Accounts Manager, your primary responsibility is to foster and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty, as well as look for opportunities to onboard new clients within the Construction industry. You will be the main point of contact between the company and its client, working to understand their needs, address concerns, and identify opportunities for mutual growth. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving.

Key Duties/ Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Management:
•  Build and nurture strong relationships with clients in the construction sector to understand their business objectives and challenges.
•  Serve as the main point of contact for any inquiries, issues, or requests from clients.
•  Conduct daily check-ins to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional collaboration.
•  Ensure customer dues are payable as per approved credit limits and inform customers regularly on their account status
2. Strategic Account Planning:
•  Develop and implement strategic account plans to maximize revenue, profitability, and overall account growth.
•  Collaborate with internal teams to align products, services, and solutions with client needs.
•  Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within key accounts.
•  Identify dormant customer accounts and reactivate business
•  Identify new projects that are upcoming and build a relation with the client by understanding their requirements early enough at every stage of the construction project
•  Build strategic relations with Architects and Engineers by ensuring that our products are specified for the upcoming and current projects
•  Ensure product samples submitted are approved well in advance with the Architects, Contractors and Engineers
•  Check on customer purchase habits every quarter and ensure clients are buying products regularly 
3. Communication and Coordination:
•  Effectively communicate the value proposition of the company's products and services to clients.
•  Coordinate with various internal departments, such as sales, marketing, logistics and customer support, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
4. Problem Resolution:
•  Address any issues or concerns raised by key accounts promptly and efficiently.
•  Work collaboratively with internal teams to find solutions to challenges and ensure client satisfaction.
5. Market Analysis:
•  Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify potential opportunities and threats.
•  Provide insights and recommendations to the company based on market analysis.
6. Reporting and Analysis:
•  Prepare regular reports on client account performance, including revenue forecasts, customer satisfaction metrics.
•  Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Key Outputs/Deliverables
i. Effective implementation of set business plan and sales budgets
ii. Business Development; growth into new markets and achievement of set sales target/ business growth
iii. Relationship Management; high level of customer retention, improved customer relations and quality services to the existing clientele
iv. Sales reporting; develop sales dashboard, timely and accurate sales reports for the management to facilitate decision making.

Academic and professional Qualifications and experience required
•  Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, construction or a related field.
•  Proven experience in key account management or a similar role.
•  Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant tools

Key Skills and Competences
•  Demonstrate a high degree of sensitivity, confidentiality when dealing with internal and external customers;
•  Familiarity with the construction industry and market trends.
•  A go-getter, enthusiastic, results oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication and social skills;
•  A relationship builder with impeccable business negotiation skills;
•  Proven track record in achieving targets and selling to customer needs;
•  Have a high sense of accuracy, attention for detail and with strong analytical ability.
•  Have good numeracy, problem analysis and reporting skills; and
•  Highest level of personal and professional integrity
•  Customer-focused mindset.
•  Adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
