JOB SUMMARY
Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional ExperienceTo qualify for appointment, an applicant must have:A PhD in International Relations, Political Science, or any other relevant qualification from an accredited and recognized university and be registered or registerable with the relevant professional body.At least 3 years of university teaching or industry experience in a relevant field.Skills in the use of digital technology in teaching and learning are an added advantage.ORA Master’s degree in related areas from an accredited universityA minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching and/or industrial experience in the relevant industry;A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines, 2014, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed scholarly journal papersBe registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualificationBe registered with the relevant professional body.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and deliver engaging lectures and seminars at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the specific areas of specialization listed above.Design and update curricula to align with emerging events and trends in international relations.Supervise graduate research (projects/theses/dissertations).Support and mentor students in their career endeavors.Participate in program assessment and reviews.Engage in research in one’s area of expertise.Engage in service to the University, the profession, and the community.Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
