JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an Assistant Librarian with excellent coordination and documentation skills to manage technical publications and support the integrity of our documentation systems across the organization.RequirementsA degree or diploma in Library Science, Information Science, Aviation management, or other related courses.At least one (1) year of working experience in a library department in the aviation industry.Have computer literacy and above average knowledge in use of Microsoft Packages.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Familiarity with document control systems and aviation regulations is an added advantage.Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with multiple departments and teams
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Central Librarian, the key responsibilities of the Assistant Librarian will be to:-Assist in organizing and maintaining a centralized technical library that incorporates both AOC and AMO systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and ALS corporate standards, to ensure that the most current and updated manuals are in circulation.Assist in updating all aircraft onboard libraries to ensure compliance with regulatory and company operational standards.Liaise with Line Station Managers to ensure that all stations are furnished and updated with the latest technical publications.Assist in controlling and managing in-house publications issued by the Operations and Maintenance departments to ensure proper version control and timely distribution.Provide instructions, procedures, and guidance to employees handling technical publications to ensure consistency and accuracy.Ensure recording and distribution of manuals; recalling and archiving the no longer in use data.
