DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Battery Assembly
• Assemble battery packs, modules, cells, connectors, wiring, terminals, and related components according to approved specifications.
• Follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly procedures, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure correct cell configuration, polarity, connections, insulation, and component placement.
Battery Testing & Performance
• Conduct voltage, current, capacity, resistance, and charging/discharging tests.
• Use approved testing equipment to assess battery performance and functionality.
• Accurately record test results and identify batteries or components that do not meet specifications.
Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting
• Diagnose battery and electrical faults using multimeters, battery testers, diagnostic equipment, and other approved tools.
• Identify faults relating to cells, wiring, connectors, BMS, terminals, and other components.
• Carry out approved repairs or component replacements and retest systems after repair.
Battery Maintenance & Repairs
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of battery systems.
• Replace damaged or defective cells, cables, connectors, terminals, sensors, and other components where required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, component replacements, and maintenance activities.
Quality Control
• Inspect battery components and assembled packs for defects, damage, and compliance with specifications.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly and testing processes.
• Identify, document, and report defective components or recurring quality issues.
Safety & Compliance
• Follow all electrical, battery-handling, occupational health, and workplace safety procedures.
• Use appropriate PPE and approved safety equipment when assembling, testing, or repairing batteries.
• Report electrical hazards, damaged batteries, equipment faults, and safety incidents promptly.
Tools & Equipment
• Operate multimeters, battery testers, power supplies, charging equipment, diagnostic tools, and other technical equipment correctly.
• Ensure testing and measurement equipment is properly maintained and calibrated where applicable.
• Maintain proper care, storage, and organization of tools and technical equipment.
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of battery assembly, testing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare technical reports on battery performance, faults, repairs, and test results.
• Provide timely feedback to supervisors or engineers on technical issues and required corrective actions.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or another relevant technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in battery assembly, electrical systems, EVs, electronics, energy storage, or a related technical environment.
• Experience using multimeters, battery testers, diagnostic equipment, and other electrical testing tools.
• Practical experience assembling and testing battery packs or electrical systems.
• Knowledge of battery management systems (BMS) is an added advantage.
• Experience with lithium-ion batteries, EV batteries, or other rechargeable battery technologies is an added advantage.
