Job Summary
As a Book Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in bringing our captivating publications to readers across Kenya and the African Region. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key decision- makers in various sales channels, such as but not limited to bookstores, libraries, educational institutions, churches, and online retailers. Your passion for books, coupled with your exceptional sales acumen, will be instrumental in driving sales and exceeding targets.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve assigned sales quotas and objectives.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with new and existing clients, building trust and understanding their needs.
- Effectively present and promote our book portfolio, highlighting its unique selling points and benefits for specific audiences.
- Negotiate and close sales contracts, securing the best possible terms for the company.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market needs to tailor your sales approach.
- Analyze sales data and prepare reports to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness and generate new leads.
- Â Manage online community of readers and buyers.
- Collaborate with marketing and publicity teams to develop effective sales campaigns.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the publishing industry.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and meeting objectives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of the bookselling landscape and relevant sales channels.
- Ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- A genuine passion for books and a deep understanding of different genres and audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
