Duties and responsibilities:
- Research local market trends to identify business opportunities and expansion prospects.
- Develop and implement business forecasts, financial objectives, and strategic plans.
- Guide the team in tailoring loan portfolio to specific client needs and requirements.
- Achieve branch goals, including loan disbursement and repayment targets.
- Manage branch budgets and allocate resources efficiently, through preparation of monthly cash flow projections submitted to the Accountant.
- Monitor daily staff entries into the Google marketing and performance tracker.
- Prepare and issue final notices for non-compliance or continued loan default.
- Initiate repossession or legal action in cases of persistent default, in coordination with management.
- Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements.
- Lead, coach, and motivate branch staff to achieve performance objectives.
- Mentor identified staff who have shown leadership skills, to grow and take senior positions and make recommendations as appropriate to the
- Lead the process of staff performance evaluations; set targets and discuss performance weekly (Mondays), making recommendations for incentives and warnings for non-performance of staff.
- Identify training needs and support staff development through mentorship and supervision.
- Provide leadership and direction in the daily operations of the Branch.
- Manage the daily attendance register, liaising with HR on payroll preparation.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a credit, lending, or financial services institution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and management systems
- Solid understanding of lending procedures and debt recovery practices
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Proven ability to manage a team and meet performance targets
