Job summary
Branch Manager who is responsible for the day-to-day management of the travel retail operations at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA). Reports to: Location: Operation Manager (based in Dar-es-Salaam) Location: KIA, International Departure Lounge

Key Outputs
1. Lead an engaged team to ensure the overall effective performance of the branch, with a particular focus on economics (maximize the platform contribution and deliver the annual budget targets) and on excellence in customer service.
2. Organize team’s work and improve the quality of the team capabilities and profitability of the branch.
3. Manage administrative and accounting duties.
4. Ensure adequate products ranges and stock availability in order to optimize sales performance.
Key Responsibilities. The Branch Manager will be specifically be in charge of:
1. Field Staff Management
a. Provide leadership to staff and ensure high standards of customer service are provided to internal and external stakeholders.
b. Organize field staff planning in coordination with Assistant Managers
c. Maintain a team capable of producing the outputs required and lead such team so that they are fully engaged and collaborate competently towards the goals set.
d. Carrying out the evaluations of his/her teams according to the modalities provided by the Operations Manager and proposing the professional evolutions of his/her collaborators.
2. Operations and Commercial Approach
a. Improve operations productivity and quality towards excellence (customer service, product knowledge and advisory, branch and staff to have highest standard of presentation at all times, etc.)
b. Control the proper implementation of processes by the team
c. Organize regular inventories
d. Organizing and ensuring the proper implementation of commercial activities, the respect of merchandising, the cleanliness of the branch
e. Exercising constant vigilance on markdowns
3. Administrative & Accounting Duties
a. Monitor shop and administrative supplies and order as needed
b. Monitor cash and currency availability
c. Daily count of cash collected and report to central accounting team
d. Prepare cash for cash collectors (bank)
v Profile
We are looking for candidates with:
- Strong autonomy, sense of responsibility, proactivity
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrable leadership abilities
- Previous retail operation supervision experience
- Computer literate – Microsoft Office
- Fluency in English
- At least a Bachelor Degree
- Must be East African
- At least 2 years of significant experience in managing teams. Experience in branch management is an added advantage.
