POSITION: 

We are seeking for a passionate, highly talented and results-driven Marketing Manager to join our Client’s dynamic team. As the Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving brand strategies that lead to sales growth. Your strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and deep understanding of the FMCG industry will be key assets in achieving success.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution (MBA is an added advantage)

Professional Certification in Marketing and related fields  

7+ years of proven experience in marketing leadership roles within the FMCG sector

Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing strategies that drive business growth and increase distributor engagement

In-depth knowledge of the FMCG, including compensation plans, distributor recruitment strategies, and compliance requirements

Demonstrated experience and high achievement of portfolio growth

Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Data-driven mindset with a strong analytical approach to marketing performance measurements

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Innovative thinker with a passion for staying ahead of marketing trend


Role Purpose

As the Head of Marketing, your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of marketing professionals and develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, drive sales, and support our network of independent distributors. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's image and positioning in the market while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. You will be expected to work cross-functionally to drive improvement in Sales (in existing and new markets), implement marketing strategies and processes whilst developing strong relationships with internal process owners, external stakeholders and concerned government agencies.


Scope of the Function and Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Define and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for key product categories; conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities and customer preferences within each category
  • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, and collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling messaging, content, and visuals tailored to target audience.
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize strategies based on key metrics and insights; Implement effective and innovative campaigns to enhance brand visibility and market share
  • Drive successful product launches and promotions, ensuring optimal execution
  • Partner with merchants and key vendors to understand top merchandise strategies and product priorities in order to communicate these to Marketing for the development of marketing strategies, ads, and media events to best produce sales and customer loyalty
  • Responsible for partnering with enterprise analytical resources to understand, analyze and calculate Return on Investment of marketing programs for assigned merchandise categories
  • Proactively identify and understand sales, margin and inventory trends and work with Merchants to identify and agree upon marketing events which are responsive to changing market conditions
  • Work closely with product development teams to provide insights and feedback for new product development and enhancements; collaborate with sales teams to develop sales enablement tools, presentations, and materials to support product positioning and messaging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment
  • Conduct regular analysis of marketing performance metrics and provide actionable insights and recommendations; prepare and present comprehensive reports to key stakeholders highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Thrive in a high-pressure environment, delivering results with resilience and creativity
  • Maintain a strong understanding of manufacturing and industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the effectiveness of our marketing efforts
