KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Business Development & Sales
• Identify, prospect, and onboard new SME, mid-size, and enterprise clients
• Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, networking, and partnerships
• Conduct product demos and presentations to prospective clients
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
2. Market Expansion & Partnerships
• Identify strategic partnerships (payroll providers, consultants, HR firms)
• Develop reseller and referral programs
• Explore new market segments and verticals
• Gather market intelligence on competitors and pricing trends
3. Client Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
• Work closely with onboarding and support teams to ensure smooth implementation
• Upsell and cross-sell additional modules and services
• Ensure client satisfaction and reduce churn
4. Product & Strategy Input
• Collect customer feedback to support product improvement
• Collaborate with product and tech teams on feature enhancements
• Contribute to go-to-market strategies and pricing models
5. Reporting & CRM Management
• Maintain accurate records of leads, deals, and pipelines in CRM
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports
• Track conversion rates and customer acquisition costs
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
• New clients acquired
• Monthly and annual recurring revenue (MRR/ARR)
• Conversion rate (lead to customer)
• Client retention and upsell revenue
• Pipeline value and deal closure rate
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, HR, IT, or related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in B2B sales or business development
• Experience selling SaaS, HRMS, ERP, or payroll solutions is an added advantage
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
