We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer with 2+ years of experience in selling Point of Sale (POS) and Inventory Management software. The ideal candidate will have strong B2B sales exposure, a solid understanding of retail and food & beverage store operations, and the ability to drive revenue through consultative selling.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
a. Drive sales of POS, Inventory software and Online store solutions to Retail, Restaurants, Bakeries, Meat Shop, Supermarkets, and Distributors.
b. Identify, prospect, and onboard new customers through field sales, referrals, and channel partnerships.
c. Conduct product demos and presentations tailored to customer business needs.
d. Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
e. Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Marketing & Market Expansion
a. Support local marketing initiatives to increase product visibility and lead generation.
b. Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer requirements.
c. Participate in exhibitions, roadshows, and partner events when required.
d. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales collateral and campaigns.

Customer Engagement & Retention
a. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
b. Work closely with implementation and support teams to ensure smooth onboarding.
c. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
d. Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term retention.

Required Qualifications & Experience
a. Minimum 2+ years of experience in selling POS, Inventory, ERP, or Retail/Restaurant solutions.
b. Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a B2B environment.
c. Strong understanding of retail and hospitality business workflows.
d. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
e. Experience in field sales across Nairobi and other regions in Kenya is an advantage.

Key Skills & Competencies
a. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
b. Strong relationship-building and consultative selling ability.
c. Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently.
d. Basic technical understanding of software solutions and integrations.
e. Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
