Job descriptions & requirements

Financial and cash management duties

• Support the preparation and execution of bank and M-Pesa payments in line with approved budgets and documented authorization levels, ensuring compliance with internal control procedures.
• Ensure all payments are supported by valid supplier invoices and eTIMS/ETR-compliant tax invoices in accordance with KRA regulations.
• Maintain daily cashbooks and perform end-of-day reconciliations.
• Manage petty cash in accordance with organizational policies and established thresholds.
• Prepare payment vouchers and verify completeness of supporting documentation before processing payments.
• Maintain proper filing (physical and electronic) of financial documents for audit and donor verification.
• Support monthly bank and M-Pesa reconciliations and assist during internal and external audits.
• Ensure strict compliance with anti-fraud, segregation of duties, and safeguarding procedures.


Administrative duties

  • Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems.
  • Support procurement documentation and tracking of supplier/contractor payments.
  • Maintain inventory and asset registers.
  • Provide logistical support for meetings, trainings, and field activities, as needed.
  • Support data entry and preparation of financial and administrative reports.
