Chief Accountant – Hospitality Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant – Hospitality Operations to oversee accounting, financial reporting, cost control, and inventory management across both hotels. The role will ensure accurate financial records, effective cost management, proper stock controls, and compliance with established accounting and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

●       Oversee all accounting operations across both hotels.

●       Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and management reports.

●       Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and statutory compliance.

●       Conduct regular bank and digital payment platform reconciliations.

●       Implement and maintain effective internal financial controls.

●       Supervise and guide the accounting team.

●       Coordinate with auditors and management during financial reviews and audits.

Cost Control

●       Monitor daily Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) across F&B, housekeeping, and maintenance operations.

●       Prepare cost, consumption, and variance reports.

●       Verify purchase orders, receiving reports, and supplier invoices.

●       Monitor compliance with cost-control procedures across both hotels.

●       Work closely with the Executive Chef, Inventory Controller, and Purchasing team to maintain accurate cost structures and minimize wastage.

Inventory & Stock Management

●       Oversee stock levels across F&B, housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments.

●       Conduct and supervise daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.

●       Ensure proper receiving, storage, issuing, and stock-rotation procedures.

●       Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate stock discrepancies.

●       Work closely with Cost Control and Purchasing to optimize inventory management and minimize losses.

Required Qualifications & Skills

●       Proven experience in accounting, cost control, and inventory management within the hotel or hospitality industry.

●       Proficiency in QuickBooks Online – mandatory.

●       Knowledge of eZee System or Burrp – mandatory.

●       Strong knowledge of hospitality accounting practices and financial controls.

●       Strong understanding of COGS, stock management, purchasing, and inventory reconciliation.

●       Excellent numerical, analytical, and financial reporting skills.

●       Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

●       Ability to manage accounting and financial operations across multiple properties.

●       Ability to work independently while effectively supervising and coordinating teams.
