CIVIL ENGINEER

JOB TITLE: CIVIL ENGINEER

NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, plan, and execute civil engineering projects including roads, buildings, drainage, and other infrastructure works.
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with approved designs and regulations.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental standards during project execution.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently, providing regular progress reports to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with contractors, architects, government agencies, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Apply engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, etc.) in project design, analysis, and documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with current construction methods, materials, and legal regulations to ensure best practices.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and performance feedback.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
• Registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant civil engineering experience, preferably in construction and infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, and other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal/regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
