ABOUT THE COMPANY

The Resident Representative of TAB Mr. B Chidzero signed on behalf of other agencies for the commencement of operations in Kenya.
JOB SUMMARY
Required Skills and ExperienceEducation:Master’s degree in earth sciences, agriculture, water engineering, international development, or a related field of studies. OR A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.Experience:Minimum of 2 years (with Bachelor’s degree) or 0 year (with Master’s degree) of relevant work experience on development coordination or project management, related to the areas of resilience building, and disaster risk reduction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the implementation team, the Community Resilience Analyst will:Support coordinatization and alignment of global and regional projectsFacilitate linkages between country-level activities in Jordan and Kenya and global/regional initiatives.Support alignment of of the food system resilience interventions with the OACPS project and ensures linkage with the CRRF.Organize and support events such as knowledge-sharing symposiums, workshops, and partnership roundtables.Develop knowledge products and advocacy materials and facilitate knowledge sharingCodify project lessons into reports, toolkits, and case studies for dissemination.Produce communication products emphasizing gender-responsive food systems resilience.Coordinate learning exchanges between stakeholders in the participating countries of the food systems and the OACPS project, and other regions.Strengthen partnerships and resource mobilizationSupport the development of background documents and analyses for strategic engagements of partners, including donors, private sector actors, and regional bodies.Work with the partnerships unit to support the organization of donor/partner roundtables, in order to scale up the project to a wider scope.Support gender-responsive programmingEnsure all activities integrate gender equality considerationsSupport the development of gender-aggregated dataMonitor and evaluate project progressDevelop and maintain the projects’ monitoring and evaluation framework, ensuring gender-disaggregated data collection.Prepare progress reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.Support the dissemination of project results, working with the communication team to maximise the reach of the project’s resultsCapacity Building and Technical SupportProvide technical support for national and local partners on food systems resilience and risk governance capacities.Institutional ArrangementThe Community Resilience Analyst will report to the DRT Regional Coordinator for Africa and work closely with the Project Manager of the EU-funded ‘Strengthening Disaster Risk Governance and Recovery Capacities project’, the FACS and DRT teams, Resilience Hub for Africa, and UNDP Country Offices.
