JOB SUMMARY
RequirementsM.Med in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from a recognized university.Specialist Recognition by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ BoardRegistered, licensed and retained by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Board.At least two years post graduate work experience.Additional training in subspecialty areas such as minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy), uro-gynaecology, gynaecologic oncology, reproductive medicine, or maternal–fetal medicine will be an added advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide safe, high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care across inpatient and outpatient, emergency services.Participate in emergency and on-call duties in line with departmental rotas.Contribute to the growth and expansion of obstetric and gynaecological services in alignment with hospital strategy.Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, clinical audit, and morbidity and mortality review activities.Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.Support medical education, continuous professional development, and mentorship of junior doctors, interns and other hospital staff.Maintain professional, ethical, and regulatory standards in clinical practice and documentation.
