Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning and Scheduling:
2. Manage and allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
3. Establish and enforce quality control processes and standards throughout the ginning operations to ensure compliance with quality specifications and customer requirements.
4. Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify deviations and implement corrective actions to address root causes.
5. Implement measures to minimize contamination and foreign matter in cotton bales during ginning and packaging processes.
6. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices.
7. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to evaluate performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
8. Analyze production data and trends to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation in cultivation and ginning processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
● Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
● Proven experience in production management, preferably in the agricultural or agri-business sector, with a focus on cotton cultivation and ginning.
● Strong understanding of agricultural practices, crop management techniques, and ginning processes, with knowledge of cotton varieties, pests, and diseases.
● Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team of production staff.
● Proficiency in production planning and scheduling, resource allocation, and cost management.
● Solid understanding of quality control principles and methodologies, with experience in implementing quality management systems.
● Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing and agricultural environments.
● Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions for process improvement.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
