(Medical Value Travel & Healthcare Ecosystem Development) We are seeking a highly entrepreneurial and relationship-driven Country Partnerships & Digital Health Manager to lead and scale Medical Value Travel (MVT), healthcare partnerships, and digital health ecosystem development within the assigned country hub. This strategic business development and market expansion role will focus on:

• Supporting onboarding of healthcare providers onto the company’s AI-enabled healthcare and digital transformation solutions platform (“AI in a Box”)The selected candidate will serve as the company’s in-country representative and partnership lead, helping establish a long-term healthcare ecosystem that combines ethical Medical Value Travel services with digital health transformation initiatives across Africa.
The role requires strong relationship management, healthcare business development, and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with the ability to independently build strategic partnerships across both private and public healthcare sectors.
Experience Requirements
5–10 years of experience in Medical Value Travel (MVT), healthcare partnerships, health insurance ecosystems, hospital business development, digital health partnerships, or healthcare market expansion is preferred.
Relevant experience may include:
• Medical Value Travel facilitation or international patient services
• Healthcare business development or hospital partnership management
• Managing referral networks for cross-border healthcare programs
• Health insurance partnerships, provider network management, or international claims coordination
• Healthcare technology partnerships, EMR/EHR systems, or digital health solution deployment
• Medical tourism marketing, patient acquisition, or care coordination
• Partnerships with hospitals, diagnostic centers, insurers, employers, NGOs, healthcare associations, or government healthcare programs
• Healthcare consulting involving international referrals, healthcare access, or healthcare digitization initiatives
Experience working within African healthcare systems, insurance ecosystems, hospital networks, Ministries of Health, donor-funded healthcare programs, or regional healthcare
associations will be strongly preferred.
Candidates with existing relationships across hospitals, insurers, healthcare providers, healthcare associations, physician networks, corporate healthcare programs, NGOs, or
public healthcare institutions within the country will have a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with hospitals, physicians, clinics, insurers, healthcare associations, NGOs, employers, and institutional healthcare
stakeholders
• Develop long-term collaboration frameworks that support both patient referrals and healthcare technology adoption
• Engage healthcare leaders, hospital administrators, medical directors, insurance executives, and public health stakeholders to expand the company’s regional healthcare ecosystem
• Identify opportunities for partnerships with healthcare associations, medical societies, employer health programs, and donor-funded healthcare initiatives
• Support partnership discussions, institutional agreements, and MoUs with healthcare organizations and insurance providers
• Represent the company at healthcare conferences, industry meetings, and stakeholder engagement forums
Patient Acquisition & Referral Network Development
• Build structured referral partnerships with hospitals, physicians, clinics, diagnostic centers, insurers, employers, and referral networks
• Develop referral channels for patients requiring advanced treatment abroad
• Conduct outreach meetings, presentations, and partnership discussions with healthcare institutions and stakeholders
• Maintain strong relationships with referral partners and track partnership performance and patient conversions
• Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand the company’s local healthcare ecosystem
Insurance Partnerships & Institutional Engagement
• Develop partnerships with health insurance companies, TPAs, employer healthcare programs, and institutional healthcare purchasers
• Support development of cross-border treatment pathways including approvals, reimbursement workflows, pricing alignment, and claims coordination
• Collaborate with insurers and healthcare providers to improve patient access to international treatment options
• Explore strategic opportunities for regional healthcare financing partnerships and institutional healthcare collaborations• Coordinate with India-based hospital and operations teams to align treatment pathways, pricing structures, and insurance processes
Patient Identification & Case Development
• Act as the primary local contact for patients seeking treatment in India
• Conduct initial case screening and coordinate medical record collection and documentation
• Liaise with hospitals in India to obtain medical opinions, treatment plans, and quotations
• Guide patients and families through treatment options, timelines, and next steps
Patient Preparation, Travel Coordination & Follow-Up
• Support patients with travel preparation, visa coordination, insurance documentation, and treatment logistics
• Coordinate closely with India-based teams, hospitals, doctors, insurers, and caregivers throughout the treatment journey
• Ensure smooth communication, case tracking, and continuity of care from referral through post-treatment follow-up
• Maintain long-term patient relationships and encourage referrals
Hospital & Digital Health Partnership Development
• Identify and onboard hospitals and healthcare systems interested in digital transformation and AI-enabled healthcare solutions
• Support deployment and partnership development for the company’s “AI in a Box” and digital health solutions platform
• Facilitate collaboration opportunities involving clinical documentation, operational efficiency, patient coordination, analytics, and healthcare workflow optimization
• Coordinate with hospital leadership, IT teams, administrators, clinicians, and operational stakeholders during partnership development discussions
• Identify strategic opportunities that strengthen both patient care pathways and healthcare technology adoption across the region
• Support expansion of sustainable healthcare partnerships across key country hubs in Africa
Business Development & Market Expansion
• Expand the company’s presence through partnerships with hospitals, insurers, healthcare associations, NGOs, employers, corporate healthcare programs, and patient networks
• Develop market intelligence related to referral trends, treatment demand, insurance ecosystems, hospital digitization needs, and competitive activity
• Support awareness-building initiatives related to Medical Value Travel, healthcare access, and digital health transformation
• Contribute to country-level market expansion strategies and long-term ecosystem development initiatives
Governance, Reporting & Performance Tracking
• Maintain organized patient, referral, partnership, and operational records
• Track KPIs including:
o Patient referrals and conversions
o Hospital partnerships established
o Insurer and institutional partnerships onboarded
o Digital health partnership pipeline
o Hospital onboarding progress
o Technology implementation opportunities
o Patient satisfaction metrics
• Ensure ethical, transparent, and professional communication with all stakeholders
Role Requirements
• Based in the designated country and city
• Willingness to travel extensively within the country for partnership development and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to coordinate effectively across African, Middle Eastern, and Indian time zones
• Strong responsiveness, execution capability, and operational discipline
• Comfortable working in a startup-style, high-ownership environment
• Ability to independently manage partnerships, patient coordination, and institutional stakeholder engagement
• Strong relationship-building capability across healthcare ecosystems
Qualifications
• Graduate degree in Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, Business, Public
Health, Health Informatics, or a related field
• Mandatory experience in Medical Value Travel, healthcare partnerships,
international patient coordination, insurance network management, or healthcare
business development
• Experience working with hospitals, healthcare providers, insurers, or cross-border
patient referral systems preferred
• Experience in healthcare technology partnerships, digital health platforms, hospital
digitization initiatives, EMR/EHR systems, or healthcare transformation programs
will be an added advantage
• Existing network with hospitals, doctors, insurers, healthcare associations, NGOs,
corporate healthcare programs, or referral partners within the country is a strong
advantage
