Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the financial health of applicants by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
- Identify potential risks associated with lending and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
- Assign credit ratings based on financial analysis and risk assessments.
- Recommend approval, modification, or rejection of credit applications.
- Set appropriate credit limits and terms for borrowers.
- Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and company policies.
- Ensure all credit assessments comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Follow internal credit policies and guidelines to maintain financial integrity.
- Adhere to fair lending practices and anti-money laundering (AML) policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Credit Analyst, Loan Officer, or in a similar financial analysis role.
- Strong knowledge of credit assessment techniques, financial statement analysis, and risk evaluation.
- Familiarity with credit reporting agencies, financial regulations, and lending policies.
- Proficiency in financial software, loan management systems, google workspace and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Skills required:
