Data Analyst (Python Expert) - Naivasha

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst with an exceptional command of Python programming and a proven track record in leveraging data to drive critical business decisions. The ideal candidate should thrive in a dynamic environment, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Python programming to extract, clean, manipulate, and analyze large datasets efficiently.

• Develop and implement advanced algorithms and predictive models to derive actionable insights and enhance decision-making processes.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to identify key metrics, trends, and opportunities for optimization.

• Create visually compelling and insightful reports and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and recommend innovative solutions to enhance data analysis procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Analyst with a strong emphasis on Python for data manipulation and analysis.

• Proficiency in data querying languages (SQL, etc.) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

• Solid understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

• Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Data Analysis Skills:

• Advanced Statistical Analysis: Regression, hypothesis testing, clustering, and time series analysis.

• Machine Learning Proficiency: Algorithms, model evaluation, feature engineering, using libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

• Big Data Technologies: Hadoop, Spark, and distributed computing for large-scale data handling.

• Data Wrangling and Preprocessing: Data cleaning, transformation, normalization techniques.

• Time Series Forecasting: Analyzing and forecasting time-dependent data, understanding seasonality, trends, and irregular patterns.

• Natural Language Processing (NLP): Text analysis, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and topic modeling.

• A/B Testing and Experimentation: Experimental design, hypothesis formulation, statistical analysis for A/B tests.

• Geospatial Analysis: Analyzing geographical data, using tools like GeoPandas or ArcGIS.
