Data Entry Clerk
Job summary
This job is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining production, inventory, and operational data within company systems. It requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and close coordination with production, warehouse, and quality teams.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Enter daily production data, including output quantities, defects, downtime, and shift reports
- Record raw material usage, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods data
- Update inventory records based on goods received, issued, and transferred
- Enter purchase orders, delivery notes, and supplier invoices into the system as required
- Maintain accuracy of bills of materials (BOM) and production records
- Verify production and warehouse documents for completeness and accuracy
- Assist in stock reconciliation and physical inventory counts
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly production and inventory reports
- Coordinate with production supervisors, warehouse staff, and quality control to resolve data discrepancies
- Ensure proper filing of production records, job cards, and batch documentation
- Maintain confidentiality of production costs, formulas, and company data
- Follow company SOPs, internal controls, and data accuracy standards
