Dentist - St. Mary’s Mission Hospital Nairobi

The Dentist will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care, diagnosing and treating oral health conditions, and promoting preventive dental care to patients.
Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  
• Examine, diagnose, and treat dental and oral health conditions.
  
• Perform routine and advanced dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, scaling, and polishing.
  
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care.
  
• Interpret dental radiographs and diagnostic tests.
  
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
  
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
  
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
  
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing professional development activities.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• 
  
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  
• Registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
  
• Minimum of three (3) years' post-internship experience in a busy hospital, clinic, or dental practice.
  
• Demonstrated competence in general dental procedures.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and professional ethics.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
