Her family has been by her side for support and encouragementAdvert No. CPSB/53/Duties and Responsibilities Directing and coordinating routine & non-routine accounting transactions and related matters;Interpretating Financial policies, regulations and circulars in the County Treasury;Establishing and maintaining effective internal control systems in the County Treasury;Ensuring timely preparation of financial statements and reports;Coordinating IFMIS activities and overall capacity building;Ensuring strict compliance with the Government Financial laws, Regulations and Procedures;Ensuring proper handling of Banking Matters;Coordinating authorization of payment vouchers and approval of payments in the Internet banking system;Liaising with HRM on County Treasury Staff mattersPlaying advisory role to the Chief Officer and County Executive Committee member on accounting matters; andAny other relevant duty as may be assigned from time to time. Requirements and Competencies Be a Kenyan citizenHave served in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of three years or private sector for a minimum period of ten years.Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Commerce or other relevant equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.A holder of a Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Business Management/Administration, Finance, Economics or Commerce from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;Passed part III of the Certified Public Accountants Examination, CPA (K) or its recognized equivalent;Registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and in good standing.A certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than Six weeks or its recognized equivalent from a recognized institution;Demonstrated professional competence in the field of Accounting Services and shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and resultsComputer applications certificate
