ABOUT THE COMPANY

Kaimosi Friends National Polytechnic is located in Vihiga County, within the Western Region of Kenya, at the heart of the Kaimosi Mission Complex. The institution sits on a 60-acre piece of land along the Kisumu–Chavakali–Kapsabet–Eldoret road.
Established in 1971 by the East African Yearly Meeting of Friends Church (Quakers), in collaboration with the local community and partners from the USA and UK, the institution was originally known as Friends College Kaimosi (FCK). It was founded to promote vocational education with a strong emphasis on Practical Agriculture, Rural Leadership, Small Business Management, and Entrepreneurship Training.

JOB SUMMARY

Requirements for AppointmentFor appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-Served in the grade of Driver II for a minimum period of three (3) years;Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D plain or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;Craft Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics from a recognized institution;Passed Occupational Trade Test II for Drivers;Valid class BCE driving license free from any current endorsements;Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or its Equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; vii.Attended a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from a recognized Institution;Demonstrate adequate knowledge of the Highway Code;Passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III from the Ministry of Roads and Public Works;Valid certificate of good conduct from the Kenya Police Service; andShown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
