JOB SUMMARY
RKJMS is seeking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon ona full-time basis. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, specializedcare in the diagnosis and surgical management of ear, nose, and throat conditions.This role encompasses managing a wide range of ENT disorders, performing diagnosticand therapeutic procedures, including theatre procedures and ensuring an exceptionalpatient experience. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the candidate will mentorjunior staff, engage in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to continuousprofessional development.Education & Professional Qualifications• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a recognizedinstitution.• Master’s degree in ENT Surgery or equivalent surgical specialization in ENT froma recognized institution.• Registered as a Medical/Specialist Practitioner with the Medical Practitionersand Dentists Council.• Certificate of Registration and a valid practicing license from the MedicalPractitioners and Dentists Council.• Possession of a Recognition Certificate as a Specialist by the Kenya MedicalPractitioners’ and Dentists’ Council.Work Experience• At least one year of post-specialization experience in a busy ENT surgical unitis required.• Demonstrated expertise in performing both diagnostic and surgical proceduresrelated to ENT conditions.• Experience in training and mentoring medical personnel is highly desirable.Skills & Competencies• Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills specific to otolaryngology.• Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in amulti-ethnic environment and respect diversity.• Proficiency in computer applications and modern medical IT systems.• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence, adheringto constitutional values and professional ethical standards.• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.• Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
