Purpose
As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers in the home construction sector. You will actively promote our products, provide expert guidance on their use and applications, and collaborate closely with clients to ensure their needs are met. Your role will involve traveling to construction sites, meeting with builders, contractors, and other stakeholders, and driving sales opportunities to achieve revenue targets.
Key Duties/ Responsibilities
1. Customer Relationship Management:
• Maintain a designated territory, encompassing both geographical and social parameters, ensuring comprehensive coverage of potential clients and projects within the assigned area.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors, architects, and other rofessionals involved in home construction projects.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their requirements, offering tailored solutions, and providing ongoing support and assistance.
• Regularly visit construction sites to engage with customers, assess project needs, and identify opportunities to promote our products and services.
2. Sales and Business Development:
• Identify new business opportunities and potential customers within the home construction market through proactive prospecting and networking.
• Present company products and solutions to clients, emphasizing their features, benefits, and value propositions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers to secure sales and achieve revenue targets.
3. Product Education and Training:
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of our product portfolio.
• Provide training and product demonstrations to customers, educating them on proper usage, installation techniques, and best practices.
• Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive offerings to effectively position our products in the market.
4. Project Coordination and Support:
• Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics, operations, and customer service, to ensure timely delivery of products and seamless project execution.
• Support customers throughout the project lifecycle, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering solutions to overcome challenges.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to facilitate product installations and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project details in the company's CRM system.
• Analyze sales data and key metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to optimize sales effectiveness.
Key Outputs/Deliverables
i) Business Development; achieve agreed upon sales targets
ii) Relationship Management; customer retention, improved customer relationships and quality services to the new and existing clientele
iii) Compliance to departmental processes
iv) Sales reporting; maintain accurate and timely records in the Company CRM.
v) Ensure all opportunities within a given sales route are well covered
Academic and professional Qualifications and experience required
• Preferred, minimum of a Diploma or higher in an engineering, construction related field or in Business Administration, Marketing or related subjects.
• Experience in field sales is preferable, ideally within the construction or building materials industry.

• Strong understanding of home construction processes, materials, and building techniques.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
