- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain organized documentation for all financial transactions and records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate financial reports and summaries for management review.
- Support the analysis of financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement areas.
- Monitor daily cash flow and assist in forecasting cash requirements.
- Assist in preparing budgets and tracking actual expenses against approved budgets.
- Support financial planning and forecasting activities.
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval of financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation.
- Assist in implementing financial controls to prevent errors or fraud.
- Assist the finance team with general administrative and accounting duties.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data collection.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by management.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or progress towards certification) is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
