Job Summary
Bun & Beef is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to manage the restaurant's financial operations, ensure profitability, compliance, and strategic financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, preferably in the restaurant industry, and be able to handle key HR responsibilities.

Job Description/Requirements
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize the restaurant's profitability and growth
- Manage all aspects of the restaurant's finances, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights and recommendations to the Owner and General Manager
- Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including managing supplier contracts and payments
- Conduct regular financial audits and implement internal controls to mitigate risks
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and file necessary tax returns, including NHIF, NSSF, VAT, and Annual Tax Filing for Bun & Beef
- Collaborate with the General Manager to control costs, optimize menu pricing, and make data-driven operational decisions
- Provide financial training and support to other managers as needed
- Report directly to the Owner and General Manager, providing regular financial updates and strategic recommendations
- Provide input on budget and compensation aspects of the hiring process for all positions
- Conduct random audit spot checks on the Cashiers Cash Float and Monthly Inventory Stock Check
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, preferably in the restaurant industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting techniques
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Knowledge of Kenyan tax regulations and compliance requirements, including NHIF, NSSF, and VAT
