The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive financial operations and treasury functions of the organization, with a specialized focus on the manufacturing sector. The role involves the preparation of high-level periodic reports, including MIS, sales, collections, and stock reports, to drive informed business decisions. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end financial compliance, treasury activities such as forex and bank loan management, and the supervision of the accounting team to ensure operational excellence.
Key Qualifications
Industry Expertise: Must have significant experience specifically within the manufacturing industry.
Budget: The salary budget for this position is Ksh 200,000 – 250,000 PM
Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge in accounting software data review, tax compliance, and the preparation of annual financials for external audits.
Core Responsibilities
Manufacturing Finance: Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes, manage Manufacturing Journals (MJ), and obtain/reconcile production and costing reports.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed MIS, bank, and stock reports while performing treasury analysis including bank loans and forex management.
Team Leadership: Plan and direct the activities of branch employees and provide training and supervision for accountants across various functions including petty cash and assets.
Compliance & Controls: Ensure full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations while maintaining a continuous review of company internal controls.
Operational Finance: Verify and authorize all company payments, manage payroll preparation, and oversee the progress of debtors and creditors.
