As part of our continued growth and operational expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to strengthen our finance function and support our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the full accounting cycle including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements including VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, and other relevant filings.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Prepare management accounts and financial reports using Odoo ERP.
- Strengthen internal control systems and ensure financial policy compliance.
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Provide financial analysis to guide operational and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience as a Financial Accountant.
- Demonstrated expertise and hands-on experience using Odoo Accounting Software (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Kenyan statutory requirements.
- Experience working in manufacturing, waste management, environmental services, or similar industries is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
