Job summary
The Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and delivering high-quality financial reporting. In addition, the role provides strategic financial modelling, forecasting, and investment analysis to support business growth, capital allocation, and long-term financial sustainability.

Financial Modelling & Forecasting
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare short-term and long-term financial forecasts, including revenue projections, cost structures, and capital expenditure planning.
- Conduct sensitivity and risk analysis to assess business performance under varying market conditions.
- Support pricing, expansion, and investment decisions using data-driven financial analysis
Financial Modelling & Forecasting
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and strategic initiatives.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely invoicing, collections, and supplier payments.
- Monitor receivables aging and improve working capital management.
- Ensure all transactions are properly authorized and documented.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely preparation and filing of, PAYE, Withholding Tax, Corporation Tax, and other statutory obligations.
- Manage statutory deductions such as NSSF, NHIF (where applicable), and regulatory remittances.
- Stay updated on tax and regulatory changes and advise management accordingly
Budgeting & Performance Monitoring
- Lead or support annual budgeting processes and periodic re-forecasting.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Audit & Governance
- Support internal and external audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification (completed or advanced level preferred).
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ relevant experience in accounting and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in financial modelling and forecasting.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and Kenyan tax regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills (financial modelling proficiency required).
