Job Description/Requirements
Analyst Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to support investment and advisory engagements.
- Assist with financial modeling and valuations.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support the development and execution of transaction documents and processes.
- Manage and analyze data to support decision-making and impact measurement.
- Prepare reports and other deliverables as assigned.
- Carry out detailed research via the telephone and meetings to develop an internal database.
- Assist with project management and coordination across teams.
- Building presentations for companies.
- Support in brand awareness efforts in social media and newspapers.
Associate Responsibilities:Â
- Lead and manage investment and corporate advisory projects from origination to closing.
- Lead financial modeling and valuations.
- Lead the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate and structure transactions.
- Advise clients on strategic matters and financial management.
- Manage relationships with clients, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Manage and supervise junior staff.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal processes and tools, and training.Â
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Financial Engineering or a related field (Minimum upper second or 1stclass honors, please specify).
- Analyst role: 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, CPA/ACCA/ACA is preferred.
- Associate role: 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, CPA/ACCA/ACA (MUST HAVE).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Passion for impact investing and development in Africa.
