Fleet Controller

Job Functions

• Radio room control and driver coordination
• Coordinate client booking on telephone and mail
• Liaising with customers and ensuring customer service excellence
• Allocate all job tasks so as to maximize the efficient utilization of the fleet.
• Responsible for the total administration function relevant to all jobs carried out by the fleet.
• Assist in the coordination and operations of the fleet tracking system.
• Ensure that all clients are serviced within the agreed period of time and notified proactively should the service delivery not be possible.
• Liaise with fleet manager and supervisor to ensure vehicles are available in line with maintenance requirements i.e  breakdowns, incidents and accidents.
• Ensure vehicles are dispatched and clients are picked on time

 

Roles and Responsibilities (Job Requirements)

• Reconciliation of bookings and documentations in this department.
• Ensure all chauffeurs have suitable equipment to perform their task.
• Ensure chauffeurs are correctly briefed and movements are planned to obtain maximum efficiencies.
• Ensure chauffeurs are correctly de-briefed after the day’s work has been completed.
• Monitor chauffeur work performance and notify Fleet Manager and Human Resource Manager accordingly.
• Ensure that all correct documentation is provided to relevant staff.
• Ensure efficient dispatching of vehicles.
• Ensure service levels meet customer’s expectations.
• Maintain regular communication with sales department regarding opportunities and problems.
• Maintenance of all reports, records and files related to assigned role.
• Be professional and courteous to all persons
