JOB SUMMARY
To ensure guests have a positive experience at the camp by exhibiting excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and supervising waiters in their roles that include: greeting guests, taking their orders, communicating with members of the kitchen about orders and timely service of both meals and beverages to guests.RequirementsA minimum of Food & Beverage Service & Sales course from a reputable collegeStrong leadership & organizational skillsProblem Solving SkillsA minimum of two (2) year experience in a similar position.Good communication skills both verbal & written. foreign language is an added advantageComputer skillsInterests: -A passion for wildlife and a commitment to sustainability and conservation and can relate personally to “Our journeys change lives”.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duty allocation and preparing of the staff leave/off schedule.A personal practice of professional and clear communication skills, maintaining supervisors image using the appropriate approach and ensuring fairness and respect to all.Ensure that punctuality, appearance and personal grooming of staff are as at expected highest standard.Eliminate hazard working conditions and practice.Keep records and special cases of indiscipline and report to the Restaurant Manager.Keep records and special cases of indiscipline and report to the Restaurant Manager.Oversee a clean and tidy dining area including the floor, furniture and fittings.Oversee and supervise preparation of tables by setting up linen, silverware and glasswareOversee table allocation based on guests inhouse and requests.Greet and escort guests to their tablesSupervise menu presentation as well as provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)Ensure that the waiters are well informed about the day’s specialsOffer menu recommendations upon requestUp-sell additional products when appropriateEnsure that the waiters take accurate food and drinks ordersEnsure that the waiter communicate order details to the Kitchen StaffSupervise timely service of food and drink orderedOversee checking of dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problemsEnsure prompt clearance of plates, glasses and silverware to the kitchen for cleaningProvide excellent customer serviceAlways strive towards best customer satisfactionAdhere to all relevant customer service guidelines & relevant HACCP/ health rules & regulations
