Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled General Chef to join our team and play a vital role in creating delicious and satisfying dishes for our guests. You will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of menu items, maintaining the highest quality standards, and contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.


Responsibilities:

Prepare a diverse range of menu items from scratch following established recipes and procedures.
Demonstrate strong knife skills and proper food handling techniques.
Operate and maintain a variety of kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
Plate dishes with care and attention to detail, ensuring an appealing presentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station according to all health and safety regulations.
Adhere to portion control and minimize food waste.
Assist with kitchen prep work, including cleaning, chopping vegetables, and preparing ingredients.
Assist with maintaining consistent inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
May be responsible for training new team members (depending on experience).


Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
Strong understanding of basic culinary principles and cooking techniques.
Proven ability to prepare a variety of dishes from scratch.
Excellent knife skills and a commitment to food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn new tasks and procedures quickly and efficiently.
