GENERAL MANAGER
Job summary
Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Board and Group leadership, the General Manager will serve as the overall operational head of the organization. The role carries full responsibility for business performance, including end-to-end operations and complete Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability. This position calls for a seasoned operations leader with a proven ability to build scalable, well-governed systems, drive disciplined execution and embed a performance-led, consumer-centric culture across the organization.

- Assume full ownership of P&L outcomes, driving sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
- Design and execute strategic initiatives aimed at increasing direct consumer access and engagement.
- Lead annual and periodic business planning processes and present performance reports to senior leadership and the Board.
- Champion market expansion initiatives in line with corporate strategy and key supplier partnership objectives.
- Oversee the full distribution value chain, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory control and order fulfillment.
- Develop, implement and continuously improve operational systems and standard operating procedures
- Ensure strict adherence to established systems across all departments.
- Maintain compliance with global distributor standards, governance requirements, and lead internal and external audit processes in line with best-in-class FMCG practices.
- Drive operational efficiency by reducing waste, optimizing resources, and improving turnaround times.
- Provide leadership to 5–8 direct reports spanning sales, operations, finance, and customer service.
- Embed a consumer-obsessed, service-led mindset throughout the organization, ensuring consistent execution at every customer touchpoint.
- Establish clear performance metrics, accountability frameworks, and review mechanisms.
- Support talent development, leadership growth, and succession planning.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration to deliver organizational goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure consistent service excellence.
- Act as the organization’s representative at industry forums, supplier events and stakeholder engagements.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, regulators and strategic partners.
- Lead initiatives focused on improving customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Define and track KPIs covering sales performance, operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Use data insights to guide decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct structured performance reviews and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure timely, accurate and reliable reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Partner closely with the Commercial Manager to align operational capacity with commercial objectives.
- Support product launches, promotions and route-to-market initiatives through operational readiness.
- Prepare operations to support growth, scalability and geographic expansion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain or a related discipline
- 7–10 years’ experience in senior management roles with a strong operational focus
- Experience operating within a mid-sized or corporate business environment
- Proven ability to design, implement and institutionalize operational systems
- Demonstrated responsibility for P&L management and delivery of financial targets
