JOB SUMMARY
Qualifications And ExperienceA Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Software development or Software Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited and recognised university.A strong academic record (at least Second-Class Upper Division or equivalent). First class is an added advantage.Must be currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree program.Demonstrated interest in research, teaching or consultancyOther Skills And CompetenciesStrong verbal and written communication skillsBasic teaching and presentation skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organisational and time management skills.Willingness to learn and work collaboratively
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching and LearningAssist lecturers in preparing teaching materials, tutorials, and coursework.Facilitate discussion groups, tutorials, or practical sessions where required.Support marking of assignments, tests, and examinations under supervision.Provide academic support and guidance to students.Research CoordinationEngage in research activities, including literature reviews, data collection, and analysis.Help with research projects, including preparing reports, presentations, and grant development.Administrative and Student SupportAssist departments in maintaining student records and data entry.Support in organising departmental activities, including seminars, workshops, guest lectures and ceremonies.Support administrative duties within the department as assigned.Assist in organising students’ activities.Provide student support and Services and refer them to support services as appropriate.Supervise undergraduate interns where applicable.Attend departmental and faculty meetings where required.Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
