Job Description
We are looking for a grants & partnerships officer who will lead resource mobilization efforts by identifying, developing, and managing grant and partnership opportunities that support Dhako Hana’s programs. This role is critical to securing funding and strategic relationships during the organization’s founding phase. This is a pro-bono role for 3-6 months and will transition to a paid role subject to funding.
Key Responsibilities
• Research and track relevant local and international grant opportunities
• Develop and submit grant proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest
• Maintain a grants calendar and funding pipeline
• Coordinate proposal inputs from Programs and Finance
• Manage communication and follow ups with donors and partners
• Support donor reporting and compliance requirements
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with embassies, foundations, INGOs, and CSR initiatives
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in international relations, Development Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, or related field
• Minimum 2–4 years' experience in grant research, proposal writing, fundraising, or partnerships (paid or unpaid)
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Familiarity with donor guidelines and development language
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple applications
