Graphic Designer
Job summary
The candidate will handle book layout and typesetting with accurate pagination and margins, while working closely with offset printing machines and supporting offset press operations to ensure high-quality, consistent print output.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Design and prepare a wide range of print materials including book designs, brochures, packaging, labels, signage, and promotional items.
- Handle layout and typesetting for books, ensuring proper pagination, margins, and print-ready formatting.
- Preflight and finalize files for print production: set up bleeds, crop marks, resolution, color profiles (CMYK), and print specifications.
- Work closely with offset printing machines and support offset press operations to ensure high-quality output.
- Ensure all artwork meets production standards and offset print specifications.
- Collaborate with the production team to maintain color accuracy and consistent print quality.
- Troubleshoot file-related or production issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain organized archives of all design and production files.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in graphic design or print production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro).
- Adobe InDesign proficiency is a strong advantage, especially for book layouts.
- Ready to work with offset printing machines.
- Familiarity with PDF/X standards and Pantone Matching System (PMS).
- Strong understanding of offset printing processes, book binding, and finishing techniques.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
