Lead a Global Procurement Engine

MMT Alliance is building a world-class procurement and tendering operation focused on securing and delivering UN, NGO, and Government contracts across multiple sectors — including humanitarian supply, medical, infrastructure, and logistics.

We are seeking a senior leader to take full ownership of this function.

Your Mission

As Head of Procurement & Tenders, you will build, lead, and scale the entire tendering operation.

You will be responsible for:

• Setting the global tender strategy
• Selecting which opportunities to pursue (and which to reject)
• Leading end-to-end execution of bids
• Building and managing a high-performance team
• Driving consistent tender wins and revenue growth

This is a high-impact leadership role with direct influence on company growth.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Strategy & Leadership

• Define and execute the global procurement and tender strategy
• Establish clear frameworks for opportunity selection and bid prioritisation
• Build and lead a multi-functional team:
  • Tender Strategy & Research
  • Bid / Proposal Writing
  • Sourcing & Supplier Management
  • Pricing & Costing
  • Logistics & Delivery

Tender Execution

• Oversee end-to-end tender lifecycle:
  • Identification → Qualification → Proposal → Submission → Award
• Ensure:
  • 100% compliance with all tender requirements
  • High-quality, competitive submissions
  • Strong alignment between pricing, sourcing, and delivery

Pipeline & Performance

• Own and manage the tender pipeline (Zoho CRM)
• Track and report:
  • Submitted tenders
  • Win rates
  • Pipeline value
  • Conversion performance
• Drive continuous improvement in:
  • Win rates
  • Efficiency
  • Bid quality

🔹 Stakeholder & Partner Management

• Engage with:
  • UN agencies and international organisations
  • Suppliers and logistics partners
  • Internal leadership and delivery teams
• Build strategic relationships to strengthen bid positioning and execution capability

⚡ Performance Expectations

• Lead 20–40 tenders per month
• Achieve 5–10%+ win rate (scaling over time)
• Maintain zero compliance failures
• Build a scalable, high-performing procurement team

• A strategic thinker with strong commercial judgement

• Highly organised with strong execution discipline
• Experienced in managing complex, multi-stakeholder bids
• Comfortable operating in high-growth, fast-paced environments

📚 Requirements

• Proven experience in:
  • Procurement, tendering, or bid management
  • UN, NGO, government, or large contract environments (highly preferred)
• Strong understanding of:
  • Tender processes and compliance
  • Pricing, sourcing, and delivery models
• Experience leading:
  • Cross-functional teams
  • End-to-end bid processes
• Familiarity with:
  • UNGM, World Bank, or similar procurement systems (advantage)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
